Support with travel costs
If you would like to attend one of our Open Days but the cost of travelling to us is making it difficult, we can support you by offering a contribution towards your travel costs. Read on for more information.
Eligibility criteria
In order to qualify for this support scheme you will need to:
- Book to attend an one of our Open Day at our Ormskirk or St James’ campus. Bookings need to be made by the start time of the Open Day that you are attending.
- Submit the online claim form, you’ll find the link to this in your booking confirmation/reminder email. You can also find the link to the form here
- Claim forms must be submitted no later than midnight two days after the Open Day you have attended.

- Attend the Open Day and ensure your attendance has been recorded in the registration area.
The contribution towards your travel costs will be calculated at the following rates, based on the straight line distance (as the crow flies) from your home address to our campus (Ormskirk postcode: L39 4QP) (St James’ postcode M1 6EG).
We will use a distance calculator for this.

Payments
Upon submission of your claim form, we will send an email requesting your bank details as the payment will be made directly by BACS transfer.
We aim to make the payment within 6 weeks of you attending the Open Day.
