Accessing LinkedIn Learning
An easy way to get an account set up is to go to the LinkedIn website, choose to ‘Sign in’
Then: ‘Sign in with your organization account’, and follow the instructions.Access your LinkedIn account
Using LinkedIn Learning
Once logged in, use the search box at the top to search for topics, or click on Library to access more subjects. Once you have searched, you can narrow down your list by skill level, or other filters.
Watching courses and videos
Click on any course to begin watching. Watch through the entire course or click on individual videos to just watch specific sections. Within each course is an overview, a transcript, and if relevant, exercise files to work through as you watch the course.
Claim your certificates
Once you have watched an entire course, you will get a certificate which you can print off or place on your LinkedIn profile.
When you create an account with LinkedIn Learning, you will be sharing your Edge Hill username with the LinkedIn Corporation.
Within the University, information about usage may be used for analytics and reporting on the uptake of LinkedIn.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to pay anything to access LinkedIn Learning?
No – access is free for all members of the University. To continue using it once you leave the University, you would need to take out your own paid personal subscription.
What happens to my playlists and digital certificates if I leave the University?
You must download all of your data before leaving the institution. Unfortunately, when your University account is deactivated, you will no longer be able to utilise LinkedIn Learning for free. If you would like to continue to use LinkedIn Learning after leaving the institution, you can sign up for a paid consumer account by contacting LinkedIn customer services where your details may be migrated to a new account.
Is LinkedIn Learning accessible?
LinkedIn Learning offers closed captioning on the video resources which allows people with hearing impairments to better experience the content, and makes the content easier to search through for everybody.
