We provide a wide range of electronic resources to support your research and studies. They are available 24/7 and this information will guide you to appropriate resources.

RefWorks is a web-based bibliographic management tool that allows you to create a database of references. References can be added manually or imported from electronic journal collections and Google Scholar. For more information take a look at the RefWorks Guide.

Emerald is a long established publisher in the fields of management, information science and engineering covering all major management disciplines from marketing, human resources management, library and information management and quality to operations management.
IEEE Xplore Digital Library
IEEE Xplore is a digital library providing full text access to the world's highest quality technical literature in electrical engineering, computer science, electronics, and related disciplines.

Fame is a database of UK and Irish company information and intelligence, containing data on over seven million companies dating back up to 10 years. Fame allows you to search for, analyse and export company information. This enables you to assess a company’s financial strength, compare it with its peers, and compile a detailed picture of its background, history and organisational structure.
Passport GMID
The Global Market Information Database (Passport GMID) is an essential resource for students of marketing. It is a one-stop source to find statistics, market reports, company profiles and information for country, market, consumer and lifestyle profiling, with future forecasting to 2015. Passport GMID’s data analysis functions allow you to customise your data for specific purposes.

Metapress Journals are provided by SpringerLink which is an integrated full-text multidisciplinary database for journals and books published by Springer. This resource is of particular use to Business and Social Science related disciplines.

Web of Science is an abstract and indexing resource providing scholarly literature in subject areas science, social sciences, arts and humanities. It does not contain full text.

Our aim, in collaboration with academic colleagues, is to support students studying Business.
We are based in the top floor office of the University Library at Ormskirk.
We provide inductions, information literacy workshops, and 1-to-1 support. We help you to get the most from the resources and services we provide. We work in partnership with academic colleagues to develop group sessions to help you maximise the resources available to support your studies.
