Student
Welcome to the Rose Theatre
For those who don't know about us already, we are housed in the Performing Arts Centre, which is at the front of the campus. Feel free to come and visit us at the Box Office - we have brochures for the professional theatre programme, and Short Cuts Cinema for film. We are happy to answer any questions you have about what's on, ticket prices, and how particular aspects of the Rose programme could enhance your degree course or personal enjoyment. The Rose Theatre is open to all students, staff, and general public alike, so if you have friends or family visiting, then they can come and see a show or film too.
Saving You Money
Compared with other theatres, our ticket prices are really competitive. We offer all students concessionary rates on most tickets. You just need your student ID to qualify. You can book in person or over the phone using a debit/credit card and there are no extra booking charges. Visit How to Book for more informartion. For the very popular Stand-up Comedy nights we normally offer ten pairs of free tickets to students by email so join our Mailing List and you just might get lucky.
In addition, Edge Hill Performing Arts Students can purchase discounted special vouchers from the box office. These are subsidised by the Performing Arts Department, and can be used against a range of professional performances from the Rose Theatre programme. Drop by the Box Office for more information.
Edge Hill Scholarship Students receive 20% discount on most Rose Theatre shows and Short Cuts Cinema films. When you make a booking, you must come to the Box Office and bring both your Scholarship card and Student ID card with you.

Getting Involved with the Rose Theatre
There are both voluntary and paid opportunities at the Rose, involving mainly Front of House and Bar duties. Previous experience is not essential as training is provided; excellent customer care skills, and flexibility are more important. There is usually a waiting list for work opportunities, but you can always be added ... and hope!
We are always keen to hear from those students who are available for work during the semester breaks, and summertime recess.
Students who want to develop their entrepreneurial skills, can also get involved by helping us to promote events such as Stand-up comedy. Interested in any of the above? Drop by the Box Office or email us at rose@edgehill.ac.uk
