Billy Cowan: Billy is an award-winning playwright and artistic director of Truant Company. His first play Smilin’ Through, produced by Birmingham Rep, was nominated for Best New Play 2005 by the Manchester Evening News and his play Caretakers won the Stage Edinburgh Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2016. Dr Kim Wiltshire: Kim is a playwright and academic who specialises in issue-based theatre, especially issues around young people, gender and sexuality, through her company Laid Bare Theatre, with plays such as Project XXX and The Value of Nothing. Danielle Boneheyo: Danni is a Creative Writing student specialising in political
flash fiction. She is currently the editor of Black Market Re-View magazine and
co-founder of Across & Through magazine. She is a recipient of the Edge Hill
Excellence Scholarship for her photography, which influences much of her
Charlotte Fitch: Charlotte is a student at Edge Hill University on the MA in
Creative Writing programme and part of the internship team working on this
publication. Previously, Charlotte worked in the education sector, where she was
Clerk to the Governors at Winstanley College.
Harriet Hirshman: Harriet is a second-year Creative Writing MA student. She
is a short story writer and dreams of working in publishing. She is an intern for
the Edge Hill Prize and at Edge Hill University Press and until recently was the
editor-in-chief and the short fiction editor on the Black Market Re-View.
Robert Holmes: Robert is a second-year undergraduate on the BA (Hons)
Creative Writing programme at Edge Hill University, and was a judge for
the Reader’s Choice Award at Edinburgh Festival in 2017. He is particularly
interested in political philosophy and history, is an advocate for LGBT+ history
being taught in schools. He worked as senior copyeditor for this publication.
Kaden James: Kaden is currently a student at Edge Hill University, studying for
his BA (Hons) in Creative Writing. He helped to set up the literary magazine
Across & Through, as editor-and-chief of the publication.
Mark Roberts: Mark is a Creative Writing graduate from Edge Hill University,
Class of 2018. In 2017, he helped to found and lead Fox Hat Theatre Company
whose first play Hold Up was a sold-out event. Writing both for theatre and the
screen, his recent scripts include Without Skies and Heiress of Sparta, both of
which deal with historical and political dynamics.
