Our upcoming online events include a virtual open day from Monday 15 – Friday 19 June 2020, and two virtual Year 12 residentials in late July and early August 2020.

Our Education Liaison Team are also running a series of online activities for Years 7-13 students (Year 14 in Northern Ireland) and Access students, with live timetabled sessions and pre-recorded options available.

In addition to this, you can connect with us via live chat. There are dedicated weekly sessions for students in school or college and prospective postgraduate students, as well as the option to chat with our Course Enquiries team any time Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

Virtual Open Day

Our June 2020 open day is going virtual, offering you the chance to find out more about about your subject of interest and the University through a week of online activities.

If you had already booked your place at our June open day, there is no need to re-book for our virtual open day, however please note the change of date.

Virtual Year 12 Residentials

Our 2020 summer residentials for Year 12 students are going virtual. You will focus on one subject area during a series of academic workshops, ensuring you gain an insight into what studying a degree in your preferred subject area would be like.

You will also be able to interact with other students who are interested in joining a degree in your subject area, work with student guides, and receive advice on completing a UCAS application.

The fully-funded residentials are taking place across two dates, split by subject area.

  • Monday 27 July 2020 – Thursday 30 July 2020
  • Monday 3 August 2020 – Thursday 6 August 2020

Online Activities

Every week we have a timetabled plan of live virtual outreach activities designed to provide information and support to students in Years 7-13 (Year 14 in Northern Ireland) about Higher Education.

Each live session will focus on a specific topic in Higher Education and will be delivered by a member of our Education Liaison Team. There will be the opportunity to interact during the sessions and ask questions at the end.

Dedicated weekly live chat sessions are available for Year 7-11 students, as well as prospective postgraduate students.

A weekly live chat session for students in Years 7-11 takes place every Thursday from 4pm-5pm. It provides a great opportunity to ask any questions you might have about Higher Education, as well as the ways in which your current level of learning links in to your options and choices for the future.

Live chat sessions for students in Years 12-13 (1st and 2nd year college students, Years 13-14 in Northern Ireland) take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4pm-5pm. They provide a great opportunity to ask any questions you might have about Higher Education, whether you are a prospective student looking to apply or an applicant who may be starting with us in the new academic year.

If you’re interested in postgraduate study at Edge Hill University, you can chat online with Rachael Buckley, our Postgraduate Recruitment Manager.

Rachael will be online every Wednesday from 10am-2pm to answer any questions you might have about our postgraduate courses, including PGCEs, as well as entry criteria or how to apply.
