Edge Hill University has been at the forefront of initial teacher training for 130 years. Our teacher training degrees enable you to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in early years, primary or secondary education.
On our primary education degrees, where you can choose between a standard 3-year course or a 4-year part-time school-based route, you will select a subject specialism in English, Mathematics, Modern Languages or Science once enrolled. In secondary education we offer dedicated routes in English, Mathematics or Religious Education.
Whichever age range or specialism you choose, your programme will combine expert tuition with significant time in schools and other settings, enabling you to gain extensive practical experience and become increasingly confident in the classroom.
