Preparation for Higher Education

Overview

Preparation for Higher EducationIf you have the ability to study for a degree but lack the necessary qualifications, study skills, subject knowledge or English Language proficiency, our Preparation for Higher Education programmes can help you progress onto higher level study.

Our 7-week Fastrack programme is free of charge and provides intensive training in essential academic skills to prepare you for higher education. It may be particularly suitable if you are not currently in education or training but have relevant work/life experience. Successful completion of Fastrack will demonstrate that you are ready to study a particular subject with us, in lieu of achieving the UCAS Tariff points in the entry criteria. An information evening for prospective Fastrack students is taking place on Thursday 28th February 2019.

Alternatively, if you are an international student and need to improve your IELTS score, or if you already have a higher level of English Language but need to improve your knowledge of your target discipline, our 1-year International Foundation Programme could be for you.
