Nursing

Overview

A student nurse sits at a table playing a game of bingo with an elderly patient who has dementia. Our 2-year MSc Nursing programmes provide a route for graduates to gain eligibility to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a professionally qualified nurse.

Combining extensive practice opportunities with collaborative learning informed by service users, carers and their families, a choice of pathways are available which enable you to train in adult nursingchildren’s nursing, learning disability nursing or mental health nursing. We will equip you with the field-specific competencies required to achieve national outcomes.

Alternatively, if you are a qualified nurse holding current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, you can train with us in a second field of nursing. Our PGDip Nursing courses, which are 1-year full-time and 18-months part-time, enable you to undertake an additional professional role in adult nursing, children’s nursing, learning disability nursing or mental health nursing, and achieve dual registration.
