What’s Included in Your Tuition Fees

For full-time undergraduate home students starting in academic year 2019/20, the following are included in the cost of your tuition fees:

  • A student gives a presentation to her peers in a classroom in the Catalyst building.Teaching and assessments on your course;
  • Library and IT facilities;
  • Student support, careers and wellbeing services;
  • Students’ Union membership;
  • Field trips that are part of your course: travel and accommodation;
  • Shuttle bus between the campus and Ormskirk;
  • Parking on the Edge Hill University campus in Ormskirk (subject to availability, for eligible non-residents);
  • 250 printing credits and access to free printer each year;
  • WiFi on campus.

Optional Additional Benefits

  • Two co-workers in an office, one holding paperwork in her hand, study a tablet screen.Sandwich year (the cost of the £1,850 tuition fee will be met by the University);
  • Study abroad year (the cost of the £1,385 tuition fee will be met by the University);
  • Language learning in free Language Steps programme;
  • 4-week free trial membership at Edge Hill Sport;
  • Four free tickets per semester for events at the Arts Centre.

Course-Specific Benefits

  • Trainee midwives in their scrubs practice their skills in our clinical simulation suite.DBS checks for students who are required to have clearance as a condition of admission. Please note, additional DBS checks and/or professional body memberships required for optional placements or due to interruption of studies are not included in tuition fees;
  • Uniforms and specialist clothing required by placements settings;
  • Lab coats and scrubs when required on course for health and safety reasons;
  • Contributions to travel and accommodation costs on professional programmes in Education and Pre-Registration Health.

When You Graduate

  • Graduation ceremony with guest tickets and refreshments;
  • Alumni Network membership for life.

What’s Not Included in Your Tuition Fees

  • Three students relax in the kitchen in a hall of residence.Living costs (covered by Maintenance Loans for eligible students);
  • Residential accommodation costs;
  • Text books you choose to buy;
  • Equipment you choose to buy;
  • Professional body memberships that you choose to take;
  • Costs for optional field trips and placements;
  • Food and drink on field trips, fieldwork and placements unless otherwise provided;
  • Travel to, and parking at, study sites other than the Edge Hill University campus in Ormskirk;
  • Clothing for playing or studying sport;
  • Clothing for performance work;
  • Clothing for outdoor field trips;
  • SpLD Learning Needs Assessments (contributions as required by Government);
  • Gown hire for graduation, and graduation photography if you choose to purchase it.
