Your situation: accepted offers from elsewhere

You’ve got your results, and you’re holding an offer from another university. But you’ve decided you want to study at Edge Hill. This page will help you with your next steps.

Scenario one: I’ve met or exceeded the requirements of a conditional offer I accepted from elsewhere but now wish to study at Edge Hill University.

You received a conditional offer from another university and made it your firm choice. But now you’ve met or exceeded the terms of that offer and no longer want to take that place. We will be happy to discuss course options with you if you’ve decided you want to study with us.

Please ensure that you have your UCAS Personal ID number and your results to hand before you get in touch.

We will not be able to formally confirm your place until your original university agrees to release you into Clearing, however it is best to contact our Clearing team first to make sure we can offer you a place before you ask to be released from your original university.

From A Level Results Day on Thursday 17 August 2023, we will be able to provide instant decisions to most enquirers.

Scenario two: I accepted an unconditional offer from elsewhere but now wish to study at Edge Hill University.

If you have previously accepted an unconditional offer from another university but decide you wish to study at Edge Hill instead, you will need to be released into Clearing by that institution.

It is best to contact our Clearing team first to make sure we can offer you a place before you ask to be released from your original university.

From A Level Results Day on Thursday 17 August 2023, we will be able to provide instant decisions to most enquirers.

Scenario three: I accepted conditional offers from elsewhere as my firm and insurance choices, but have not got the grades required.

If you don’t get the results you need to meet your firm or Insurance offers from other universities, you may still have your place confirmed at either institution. You should check your status on UCAS for clarification.

Alternatively, if you find yourself released into Clearing, you may be able to secure a place at Edge Hill University. Even if you turned down an offer from us previously, we can reconsider your application.

You should contact our Clearing team, ensuring that you have your UCAS Personal ID number and your results to hand, and we will be happy to advise you.
