Members of the Knit and Knatter Group and staff from Ormskirk Hospital Neonatal Unit

The Knit and Knatter Group on 26th August delivered a box of baby clothes to the Neonatal Unit at Ormskirk Hospital.

The Group, which meets weekly at Edge Hill, have been knitting items for the project all summer alongside staff from St. Francis of Assisi Primary School in Skelmersdale.

The box delivered by the group contained 5 shawls, 26 hats, 4 pairs of bootees, 9 sets of hats and bootees, 6 hat and jacket sets and 9 jackets which will be used for babies in the unit. Some of the clothes may also be sold to parents, families and friends to help raise funds to buy small items for the care and comfort of the babies.

The group are still busy knitting; their next project is knitting squares to make a blanket which is going to be sent to Rwanda.
