If you’re on campus (or not!) at the moment – look out for our exciting range of Covid safe in-person and virtual activities, events and offers taking place over the next few weeks.

Whether sport’s your thing, you want to learn a new skill, have competitive fun with your friends or just treat yourself to a free ice cream – there’s plenty of ways to get involved!

We’ve brought together a full programme with something going on most days of the week – some you need to book in advance and some you just turn up to.

Here’s all the details you need to know for this week:

Monday

Running Club, 5.30 – 6.30pm at the Track

Get your trainers on to join this weekly session suitable for any level of ability – from beginner to ultra-marathon runner. Improve your endurance, increase your pace or just raise your pulse and have fun. Book your place here

Circuits, 7.00 – 8.00pm at the Track

A combination of high intensity cardio and resistance exercise which allows you to work at your own personal level to achieve your fitness goals. Book your place here

Tuesday

KettleFit, 7.15 – 8.00am at the Track

Join our dynamic kettlebell based class – a combination of high intensity toning and cardiovascular exercise to provide a complete body workout. Book your place here

Free ice cream, from 11.00am on the Boulevard

Ice cream cones

You heard it right, FREE ice cream on the boulevard TODAY! This term we’re turning sunny days into sunny yays with free ice cream on a selected day each week – right here on campus. To get yours, simply pop along to the ice cream van parked on the boulevard (opposite the Business School) from 11.00am. Dairy-free options are available on request.

The Garden Games, 12.00 – 2.00pm on the Front Lawn

Join the Edge Hill Sport team on the front lawn for Croquet, Boules, Giant Chess, Giant Connect 4, Swingball or Badminton in maximum groups of 6. A perfect way to relax and take care of your wellbeing.

Lean Lifting, 5.15 – 6.00pm at the Track

Dedicated to enhancing the use of weight lifting technique to improve strength and tone the whole body. Book your place here

Wednesday

Bootcamp, 7.15 – 8.00am at the Track

Think military style exercise class using a variety of exercises, equipment and different areas of the campus to achieve all over. Book your place here

Running Improvers, 5.15 – 6.15pm at the Track

Perfect session to improve your running time, technique or speed. Book your place here

Bootcamp, 6.30 – 7.30pm at the Track

Think military style exercise class using a variety of exercises, equipment and different areas of the campus to achieve all over fitness. Book your place here

Thursday

Body Blast, 7.15 – 8.00am at the Track

Weight

High Intensity Interval Training is a form of cardio exercise that uses short bursts of high intensity activity with short periods of relative rest to challenge your fitness levels. Book your place here

The Garden Games, 12.00 – 2.00pm on the Front Lawn

Join the Edge Hill Sport team on the front lawn for Croquet, Boules, Giant Chess, Giant Connect 4, Swingball or Badminton in maximum groups of 6. A perfect way to ditch the exam stress and take care of your wellbeing.

Discord That Thursday Thing Hangout, 7.00 – 8.15pm – Online

Your chance to chat, meet new people and network with other Edge Hill students at our regular social hangout.
