Winter on Campus 2021

As we take a break for the festive season we’ve brought some useful information together about student services, support and activities over the holidays.

Covid-19

Asymptomatic Testing

If you’re going home for the break, you should take a rapid lateral flow test before travelling to help prevent outbreaks and limit the spread of the virus to friends and family.

You can collect a home test kit from the post pick room in the Students’ Union building (next to Subway) between 8.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.

You should also report your test results online whether positive, negative or void.

Following the winter break, you should take a rapid lateral flow test before you return to university. This will help to keep us all safe and prevent outbreaks within our community.

What do I do if I get symptoms/test positive for Covid-19 during the winter break?

If you have Covid-19 symptoms you should self-isolate immediately and arrange to be tested as soon as possible – this can be done here. You must inform the University by completing this form as soon as you start experiencing symptoms. Once you have completed the form, we will be in touch to provide any advice and support you may need. If you are living on campus, we can provide additional support.

If you test positive for Covid-19 you should self-isolate immediately and inform the University by completing this form. Once you have completed the form, we will be in touch to provide any advice and support you may need. If you are living on campus, we can provide additional support.

If you know you have had close contact with someone who tests positive for Covid-19, or are contacted by NHS Test and Trace and told that you have been a close contact, please do let the university know by completing this form.
