Big Read 2019

The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry

Welcome to the Big Read 2019!

This year, we’re following The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry. Recently retired, Harold embarks on a 627-mile journey on foot to visit a sick former colleague. Full of reflections on life and friendship, the book is a heart-warming story of love, loss and hope.

The Big Read is a UK-wide university shared reading scheme that aims to create common ground and start conversations between students. Have you talked to anyone about the book yet?
