Year 12 Higher Education Preparation Days

Our HE Prep Days are designed to prepare students not only with the university application process but also to support with the transition to university. We have a number of interactive workshops that will run throughout the day covering key topics. The workshops will include an Introduction to UCAS, Student Finance explained, Information on writing a personal statement and budgeting advice.

Student Guides are on hand for the duration of the day to answer any questions from visiting students, to deliver Campus Tours and to run workshops. Education Liaison and Event team staff deliver informative talks including an Introduction to Higher Education, advice on choosing a course and institution, Student Finance, and making an application through UCAS.

We will be holding two Higher Education Preparation Days for Year 12 students on the dates below:

  • Tuesday 9th June 2020
  • Tuesday 23rd June 2020

The days will cover a range of topics including:

  • Choosing a Higher Education course
  • Applying to Higher Education
  • Student Finance
  • Budgeting
  • Personal Statements
