The Education Liaison and Events Team value establishing and maintaining relationships with Teachers, Sixth Form / College Staff and Careers Advisers.

Each year Edge Hill University offer a number of engaging and topical opportunities for staff regarding the changes to the sector, as well as Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities, as detailed below.

Policy Unwrapped

Policy Unwrapped is a series of termly sessions aimed at those who work in an education setting and is designed to provide an impartial commentary on the purpose and impact of higher education policy. With expect opinion, insightful comment and valuable networking opportunities, Policy Unwrapped is a must for those who want to stay abreast of sector developments and support their students in HE decision making. Registration and arrival refreshments takes place from 4.30pm, with the Policy Unwrapped session from 5.30pm, followed by an informal evening meal. Recent `Policy Unwrapped` evenings have focussed on “Changes to Initial Teacher Training” and “The Future of Information, Advice and Guidance”.

Open Evenings / Professional Development

Edge Hill University’s Faculty of Education offers a broad range of opportunities for qualified and unqualified members of the school workforce through staff CPD, including Subject Knowledge Enhancement, Early Years Teacher Status, and Professional Development modules.
