A range of scholarships are available to current students which you can apply for, or be nominated for, once you are enrolled on an Edge Hill University programme (some exclusions may apply).

Overseas students may be considered for a range of additional awards. Please see our pages for international students for further information.

Excellence Scholarships

If you’re proud of something you’ve done outside of your studies, our Excellence Scholarships could reward your determination, commitment and achievement.

Sports Scholarships

Sports Scholarships celebrate talent, dedication and achievement in sport and are designed to enhance your sporting performance.

University Scholarship

The University scholarship recognises students who help to raise the profile of Edge Hill in a positive way and rewards contributions to equal opportunities and diversity.

Mark Flinn Award

The Mark Flinn Award recognises students who are keen to develop their skills by undertaking a research project which makes extensive use of historical evidence.

Adam Bell Scholarship

The Adam Bell Scholarship honours students who make a significant contribution to the community of the University and show compassion towards others.

Rhiannon Evans Poetry Award

The Rhiannon Evans Poetry Award celebrates students who display promise and potential as creative writers of poetry.

Dame Janet Suzman Playwriting Prize

The Dame Janet Suzman Playwriting Prize supports students in eligible subject areas in developing an original script for the stage.

Preparation for Higher Education

The Preparation for higher education scholarship is awarded in recognition of achievement on the University’s Fastrack course.

Academic Achievement Awards

Academic Achievement Awards celebrate undergraduate students with the highest average percentage mark in their academic department.
