My three years at Edge Hill University have allowed me to develop a real understanding of my subject and equipped me with the skills I need for my future career.
“I studied music at college and developed a keen interest in the relationship between music and media, so wanted to study a degree that combined these two subjects. Also, as I live just outside Ormskirk, choosing Edge Hill provided me with the ideal opportunity to attend a great University while staying close to home.
On the BA (Hons) Media, Music and Sound degree the combination of theory and practice we experience is really useful. The practice side of things provides the chance to pursue a more creative approach, while the theory is intellectually stimulating, enabling you to develop a broad subject knowledge and widen your understanding of the sector.
Because the modules studied are based in both the Performing Arts and Media departments we get to have access to a wide range of facilities and equipment, which is great, and I feel there are few universities that provide such an in-depth study of both media and music.
Overall, I’d say that my three years at Edge Hill University have allowed me to develop a real understanding of my subject and equipped me with the skills I need for my future career. Once I graduate I am looking forward to working within music partnerships.”
