The real world work experience is a big thing for me – I’m learning new skills and that will really help my CV.
“I was looking for career inspiration when the opportunity to develop marketing skills at Agent Academy came up. It seemed a good move. The programme was also free to attend, which is a big deal when you are a student who is already paying tuition fees.
Working in a professional environment for three days a week has been really good, as has the opportunity to engage in team working. I’ve learnt a lot from both. I’ve also really benefitted from the guest speakers who have spoken on the programme. They’ve ranged from someone who runs her own health clinic to an app developer. They’ve been really interesting, have given us the benefits of their experience and are great potential contacts for the future.
As part of the programme we are undertaking a real world project for Edge Hill University’s marketing department. We’re developing a strategy that will hopefully lead to more enquiries to the University. It is a great experience. Currently we’re at the planning stage and so far I have learnt a lot, but I’m really looking forward to developing the project and the technical and practical skills I’ll gain along the way.
The real world work experience is a big thing for me – I’m learning new skills and that will really help my CV. The networking opportunities are very valuable as well. I’ve no doubt that when it comes to finding a job this programme will put me a step ahead of many other people.”
