BA (Hons) Television Production Management

I am now due to start a month’s work placement with BBC Breakfast.

“I was drawn to Edge Hill University because of its location, reassuring atmosphere and excellent media facilities. As well as this, the BA (Hons) Television Production Management suited my needs perfectly, as I am a creative person who also likes to organise things.

On this degree you discover all the different elements required to successfully manage both a television or film production. You also learn about staffing and budgets and find out about individual production roles, such as camera operator and director, all of which provide you with a wide range of diverse skills.

There are lots of opportunities for students to put what they have learnt into practice on this course, including training sessions from the BBC who are based nearby at MediaCity. These experiences have provided me with an invaluable insight into what it will be like when I enter the industry after graduation.

I am now due to start a month’s work placement with BBC Breakfast. During my interview for this position I feel it was an advantage to be able to talk in detail about my studies and what is involved as it is such a distinctive course.”
