I particularly love my lectures and how they provide a balance between individual creative freedom and guidance.

“The look and feel of the campus setting was what first attracted me to Edge Hill University and then when I met some of the students I could really imagine myself living and studying here.

I chose BA (Hons) Advertising as it appealed to both my creative and academic sides. I have always had an interest in advertising and found that having the ability to study option modules around the psychology of persuasion particularly captivating.

I am thoroughly enjoying my studies and they continually build my confidence, skills and abilities. I particularly love my lectures and how they provide a balance between individual creative freedom and guidance. I always know that my tutors are on hand to help me improve, develop my work or simply point me in the right direction.

As a person, I enjoy helping others so have become a student blogger. It is a really useful form of communication and enables me to express my positive thoughts about Edge Hill, talk about the general atmosphere here and highlight the people I’ve met. Whether I’m writing about specific course details, or just talking about what I am up to in my spare time, I try to give a broad overview of university life that people will find informative and useful.

One thing I think is important is to get involved, to live in halls if it is an option, join teams and societies wherever possible and just don’t hold back.

After graduating I hope to use my advertising industry knowledge and understanding to work in a prestigious creative agency in London. Leaving Edge Hill will be a huge change, but I will take all my positive and friendly experiences with me.”
