When I came to Edge Hill it was the only time I could actually imagine myself studying and living somewhere.
“I was never too sure about going to university, so visited loads of open days to make sure it was the right choice for me, but when I came to Edge Hill it was the only time I could actually imagine myself studying and living somewhere.
Edge Hill is a campus university and I loved living on site during my first year and made more friends than you can imagine just in the first week. It’s so nice to have a sense of community and belonging, and even when living off campus in my second and third years, my experience has been the same: dedicated tutors and brilliant people.
To add to this, the creative writing side to my BA (Hons) Creative Writing and Media course has been brilliant, with enthusiastic tutors that have been, and are still, very much part of the writing industry.
Now in my third year I find myself balancing my studies, and working part-time at the University as a student guide and library assistant.
If like I was you are unsure about going to university, I’d say give yourself a little push and go for it, enjoy every moment you have as it’ll be over in no time. Not only is going to university furthering your education, it’s a three-year course of self-discovery and sets you up for all sorts of life experiences.”
