“The course has really exceeded my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone.”

“My inspiration to do this course was my cousin. He is such an amazing teacher, and it’s all because he came to Edge Hill University to study.

I was originally going to do primary school teaching, but after volunteering at a school I realised it wasn’t for me, although I knew I still wanted to teach. My cousin recommended this course partly because he had enjoyed it so much, but also because you can study religion, which I find really interesting, and QTS together in just three years. That means I can go straight into teaching without having to take a PGCE.

Going to university is quite daunting, but as soon as I arrived here for my interview I knew it was the right choice. It is such a nice campus and it was an easy transition from the secondary school I attended. It’s not impersonal like other universities, it’s warm and friendly. The smaller class sizes and classrooms help as well rather than being in big lecture theatres.

The people in my class are really close and the staff are amazing as well. It makes all the difference when you have good tutors, they know you and support you. The course has really exceeded my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone.”
