As part of this MA I was able to take a professional show to the Edinburgh Festival, the reviews of which have led to a real understanding of my own practice.

“Prior to my course I directed in-house multi-media productions at a new arts centre, but for some reason I was struggling to define my own practice. That was when a friend of mine recommended Edge Hill.

When I looked into this postgraduate course it seemed really appealing and I felt that it offered me an opportunity to collaborate with other artists as well as stimulate and grow my theatrical knowledge and enhance my working methods.

I’ve not been disappointed and learnt a lot. The course tutors are very accessible, always willing to offer advice and stimulate critical thinking, and willing to take the time to talk over assignments.

Developing my own practice has been like putting together an intricate puzzle, entailing both research and performance. As part of this MA I was able to take a professional show to the Edinburgh Festival. The festival reviews and detailed tutor feedback about the show have led to a real understanding of my own practice and a realisation of my own aesthetic.

I knew that my approach to theatre making was different and so beginning to be able to articulate my work has been a great reward.”
