The thing I like most about my BSc (Hons) Marketing with Advertising course is that alongside gaining knowledge of my subject, I am also learning things that will help me in my life outside of my studies.

“When choosing where to study I was looking for a university that had a campus environment, rather than consisting of a number of buildings spread out across different locations. This, and the fact that Edge Hill University is continually enhancing its already impressive facilities, helped make it the choice for me.

Now that I am here I can honestly say that there is a real sense of community at Edge Hill.  A wide range of activities take place on campus at any one time, particularly through the work of the Students’ Union, which has made me feel really settled.

The thing I like most about my BSc (Hons) Marketing with Advertising course is that alongside gaining knowledge of my subject, I am also learning things that will help me in my life outside of my studies. My lecturers are all established in their field and share their wealth of practical experience alongside their theoretical knowledge.

I became a student blogger because I have always had a general interest in blogging. I had also found the student blogs were very useful to me before I applied to university, so thought it would be a good opportunity for me to help prospective students.

I tend to blog about a wide range of topics, from current events that are topical to more course-specific things, such as adverts or advertising campaigns that have interested me, as well as exciting activities around campus.

My advice to anyone considering studying at Edge Hill would be to visit an open day to get a good feel for the campus, as well as talk to students and the teaching staff from the courses you are interested in. I found this face-to-face experience to be invaluable.

When I graduate I hope to enter a career in advertising, either working for an agency or in house for a leading technology company. The fact that we benefit from being able to work on life briefs during our course should help me to achieve this.
