MSc Leadership Development

My course isn’t what I expected, it’s better! It’s definitely improving my performance in work and further developing my wider understanding of the sector.

“Edge Hill University is a refreshingly dynamic place with a definite focus on the student experience. I previously studied at another university, but never came across such caring staff who genuinely want to see their students succeed.

My course isn’t what I expected, it’s better! It’s definitely improving my performance in work and further developing my wider understanding of the sector. I’ve found the relationship between theory, practice and vocation on the course to be a really excellent aspect, and it’s definitely relevant professionally.

If you are working in health and social care and want to develop your career in a management or leadership direction, then you have to consider this course. Not only will it add real value to your CV, but, more importantly, it will provide you with a wealth of knowledge and good practice.

The things that I’ve found valuable have been the use of self-awareness tools, the group work, the feedback and the action learning sets, all of which encourage active engagement in self-development, both within the course and outside of it.

Overall, it’s been an amazing experience to meet like-minded individuals who all have different job roles within health and social care. Once the course is over I’m aiming to continue my professional development and use the skills I’ve learnt to apply for a more senior management position.”
