A particular highlight for me was when I completed a community project with Castlefields Regeneration Partnership, which included a celebratory screening at The Brindley Arts Centre in Halton.

“After spending 20 years as a graphic designer I decided it was time to explore a career change in a field that I absolutely love.

From Edge Hill University’s wide choice of media programmes the BA (Hons) Film and Television Production degree seemed ideal, as I have always had an interest in expressive photography and film-making.

I’m really enjoying the course as it contains a wide choice of modules and provides state-of-the-art digital equipment to use, whilst the theoretical support and professional feedback we receive from our tutors is second to none. As well as this, the practical projects we undertake have enabled me to develop further my skills and abilities.

The documentaries and short films we create provide real-life experience in the complete process and show how your work can be distributed and appreciated via today’s multimedia platforms. A particular highlight for me was when I completed a community project with Castlefields Regeneration Partnership, which included a celebratory screening at The Brindley Arts Centre in Halton.

It is with thanks to experiences like this that I aim to produce an excellent showreel by the time I graduate, enabling me to demonstrate my potential and showcase my skills and abilities to potential employers.”
