Fastrack guide to Edge Hill

There’s so much to find out about Edge Hill University, it can be tricky to know where to begin.  If you’ve got a question, use our handy guide below.

Accommodation

The Accommodation Team will contact you during your Fastrack programme with information on how to apply for on-campus halls of residence for the first year of your undergraduate degree programme. To find out more about our halls, please visit our accommodation web pages.

Arts and culture

The Arts Centre brings a diverse line-up of high quality professional productions, film screenings and live theatre broadcasts with free tickets available to students. Visit The Arts Centre website to find out more.

Bus service (Edge Link)

The Edge Link bus runs every 20 minutes between campus and Ormskirk and it’s free to students when you show your UniCard. Find out more .

Campus support (security)

Campus Support are always on site and are available 24-7.  You can contact them out of hours on 01695 584227.

Careers

The Careers team supports students both during and after their time at Edge Hill. Contact the team to find out more about work experience, volunteering and part time job opportunities.

Car parking

Car parking permits are available to those who meet the eligibility criteria. You can apply for a permit after you have enrolled onto your programme. Full details can be found on our website.

Car sharing

Guaranteed parking is available for permit holders who register for car sharing, with both permits displayed in the windscreen. More details can be found at on our main website.

Catalyst

The Catalyst building is home to the Library, Learning Services and Student Support teams. 

Chaplaincy

Pastoral guidance and support for students helping to create a welcoming community on campus. Find out more on the Student Services webpages.

Clubs and societies

Meet like-minded people, make new friends and enrich your student life. Have a look on the Students’ Union website, to see what’s available – or find out how to create your own society.

Food and drink

There are lots of places to eat on campus offering a wide range of fresh, local food with free WiFi Access. The SU also offers an on-site SUBWAY.

Library and Learning Services

Library and Learning Services will help you make the best use of their services to support your studies, whether on campus or at a distance. You’ll find them in the Catalyst or you can read more online.

Part time jobs

Lots of students take on part-time jobs alongside their studies. Our Careers team can help. Find out more about part time job opportunities on the careers web pages.

Shops on campus

An on-site Morrisons convenience store sells food, drink, stationery and household items. You can also take the short trip into Ormskirk town centre – just 5 minutes on the Edge Link bus.

Students’ Union

The Edge Hill SU is home to societies, independent advice services, social events, the  SU Bar and much, much more – including a SUBWAY! Visit the SU website for details

Sport and fitness

Edge Hill Sport provides something for everyone regardless of sporting ability or motivations. See our membership options online including great student discounts.

Wifi

All students can access free wifi on campus using Eduroam, Log on with your student name and password.
