Impact of Trauma and Complexity on Children and Young People HUG4056

Overview

This module will offer students critical perspectives and applications to practice in relation to complexity and trauma in children and young people. Current perspectives and theoretical models will be critically reviewed and evaluated. This module aims to offer critical examination of research evidence related to trauma assessment and intervention with children and young people, taking account of their family and all sectors they engage with. This module aims to help students develop their self-awareness and self-knowledge. This process is facilitated through in-depth critical exploration of the phenomenology of trauma and the feedback provided by peers on the development of the patchwork text being presented by students throughout the module.
