Biography

Tracey qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1994 and held posts in Genito-Urinary medicine and District Nursing. Tracey has worked as a field nurse in Melbourne Australia working largely with the indigenous population and also spent time as a lecturer in one of the large Melbourne Universities. In 2007 Tracey became a specialist practitioner in community nursing with an interest in anatomy and physiology, tissue viability and infection prevention & management. Tracey joined Edge Hill University in 2000 as a senior lecturer in Adult Nursing and teaches across a range of undergraduate and post graduate programmes. Tracey’s current post includes acting as a cohort lead, year of study lead, academic assessor, recruitment and selection lead and a member of a number of University panels. Tracey is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a parent governor at a local primary school. Tracey held the position of public governor at Aintree University Hospital Trust 2012-2018. Tracey holds additional qualifications in Asthma management, clinical practice teaching, nurse prescribing, complimentary therapies, NVQ and OSCE training.
