Biography

Hayley joined Edge Hil University (EHU) in September 2014 as a Lecturer in Child Health and Wellbeing. Hayley completed her undergraduate degree in Early Years Leadership and Management (2002-2007) at Hope University, she then did her PGCE in Post Compulsory Teaching and Masters in Education at Riverside College and Edge Hill University and is currently completing her PhD in Educational Research focussing on resilience of students. Hayley is now a Senior Lecturer responsible for delivery and assessment of a range of child health and wellbeing and child and adolescent mental health modules. Hayley has a keen interest in student employability and has developed personal development portfolios (PDPs) for the AHSC students, as well as introducing a number of student employability enhancements  to the department, many of which are informed from her own nursery business as a children’s workforce employer. Her methodological interest are predominately within qualitative research, with experience in delphi studies and realist evaluation.
