Biography
Rachel has taught English and Classical Civilisation in the secondary and tertiary sectors, and now trains English teachers on the Secondary PGCE, as well as leading the University’s new PGCE with iQTS.
Research Interests
Research interests focus upon the research engagement of teaching practitioners, using inclusive mixed-methods such as user-focused evaluation. Other areas of research are in social justice in education, particulary with regards to young carers.
Teaching
Rachel lead on the Secondary English PGCE module, The Effective English Teacher: Explorations in Method, Policy, and Theory.
