Biography

I have been a Senior Lecturer in Education and Religion at Edge Hill University since 2005. Before then I had a successful career as a primary teacher in London, a Museuem Educator at The British Library and a Literacy Consultant for St Helen’s Education Action Zone. I have been a Programme Lead for Primary ITE and a Year Lead for the Part Time programme. I am currently a Course Lead for BA Religion and Secondary Religious Education with QTS. 

I have published three books related to the Enlish primary curriculum that are still in print.  They are Teaching Primary Religious Educcation (Pearson Ltd. 2010); Creative activities and Ideas for English as an Additional Language pupils (Pearson Ltd. 2011) and Teaching the Primary Foundation Subjects (Open University Press. 2015)

My PhD was about witchcraft and faith identies within social media. My Thesis  was Becoming Witch: Creating and Confirming Faith Traditions within Social Networking Spaces and is to be tranformed into a monograph in 2025.
