Megan Fuller

Flood management professional

BSc (Hons) Geography

Since leaving Edge Hill with a first class degree, Megan’s career has surged. She’s taken her knowledge to the Environment Agency, working in flood protection, initially with Thames Tidal Defences. Rapid promotion has now led her to the I-STORM Network, supporting flood risk management professionals across the globe, where she is responsible for oversight of the Network’s day-to-day activities, helping members access services, and managing delivery of key events, including the Annual Conference, hosted in a different country each year.

“My degree gave me a wealth of subject specific knowledge that helps me understand and contextualise the work I do. Modules on natural hazards, rivers and coasts, and weather and climate have all proven to be extremely useful. I use skills developed during my degree, such as report writing, organisation and presentations, on a daily basis.”
