Edge Hill University has been shortlisted for two industry-leading Human Resources awards.

The University has been recognised for excellence in people management, joining more than 100 other organisations in being shortlisted for the Personnel Today Awards 2022, securing nominations in the HR Team of the Year and Change Management categories.

Judges recognised the University’s work in managing and embedding change to support the internationalisation of the campus, resulting in a rise in applications from international students.

Work to reshape the structure of the HR team to better align objectives with the institution’s strategic priorities was also highlighted.

Director of HR, Vicky Bosward, said: “The HR team packs a punch and will continue to act as ambassadors for Edge Hill University.

“By demonstrating our values every day, we will continue to play our part in ensuring diverse staff of the highest calibre are attracted, recruited, retained and developed to enable Edge Hill, and our staff, to thrive in challenging times.

“As a university we are committed to providing the best possible student experience. We believe this is best achieved through truly engaged staff.”

Now in their 24th year, the Personnel Today Awards celebrate the exceptional achievements of HR and Learning & Development teams across a broad church of employers of all sizes and the suppliers that support them, organisations that put their workforce at the heart of what they do.

The ceremony will take place on 15 November 2022 at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane, London.
