Edge Hill University Business School Alumni secures a KTP role in £100,000 partnership

A graduate from Edge Hill University has joined the UK’s leading pet food specialists, Oscar Pet Foods, to transform its business performance.

Alumna Georgina Evans is working with the company and Edge Hill’s Business School’s experts in the SME Productivity and Innovation Centre (PIC) as part of a new Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP).  

The £105,642 KTP partnership is funded by Innovate UK’s Management Knowledge Transfer Partnership (mKTP) programme and is designed to enable transformational improvement by identifying key strategic, management-based initiatives to increase business efficiency. 

Georgina has secured the highly skilled employment opportunity after successfully achieving a First class honours in BSc (Hons) Business & Management degree with a sandwich year at Bentley Motors. 

Georgina said: “I am excited to join the partnership and work alongside the academics and the team at Oscars to drive territorial market shares through the company’s existing networks of franchise holders and bring new and creative ideas to the KTP role.” 

Managing Director of Oscars, Richard Martin who has been engaged with the SME PIC since 2019, added: “The mKTP partnership is a great opportunity for us to inject graduate skills and academic knowledge into the business to help us to improve and embed new business processes.” 

Professor Simon Bolton of the Business School, head of the PIC at Edge Hill, and Knowledge Base Lead of the partnership said: “Georgina’s skills and knowledge will play an integral part in supporting the development of new data-driven marketing tools and framework to help maximise Oscar’s business efficiency. We wish Georgina every success in her new Associate role.”

Work-Related Learning Coordinator, Andrea Cunningham added: “This is an excellent opportunity for Georgina to excel in her career in business, through the new role as KTP Associate.
