Edge Hill University is on the map after being recognised on a global scale.
The institution has been crowned one of the top one thousand Universities in the world in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022 for its outstanding performance across teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook – marking the second time the University has featured in these prestigious rankings.
Times Higher Education World University Rankings span more than 108 million citations across over 14.4 million research publications and included survey responses from almost 22,000 scholars globally.
This accolade follows on from a bumper year of awards for Edge Hill, which saw the institution crowned University of the Year in the Educate North Awards 2020/21 for its continued commitment to delivering an exceptional student experience. The University also came in the top three in the North West for student satisfaction in the Complete University Guide 2021, and was voted in the top top 10 in the UK for student support and job prospects in the WhatUni Student Choice Awards 2020.
Alongside these successes, Edge Hill was shortlisted for the prestigious 2020 University of the Year in the Times Higher Education Awards and WhatUni Student Choice Awards 2020, and was voted a top 10 modern University in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020.
Dr John Cater, Vice-Chancellor of Edge Hill University said: “Once again we are honoured to secure this global accolade from Times Higher Education and delighted to see our overall teaching quality, reputation of our research, industry innovation and international outlook recognised at a world class level.
“It’s been in incredible year of successes for Edge Hill despite the enormous challenges of the pandemic, and I couldn’t be prouder of all our students and staff who make each and every one of our achievements possible.”
