Edge Hill University has been named as the top higher education institution in the UK.
Student Source – a directory for student accommodation, higher education destinations and universities – announced the nomination on Twitter on Monday 2 September, stating Edge Hill is “renowned for offering the best student experience in the North West”.
Lynda Brady, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Student Experience, said: “Being recognised as a top university by Student Source, and noted for our outstanding student experience is a great achievement and underlines our long-standing commitment to putting students at the heart of all we do.”
Earlier this year, Edge Hill secured its place in the top 50 in The Guardian University Guide and is in the top 1000 global universities, according to the THE World University Rankings 2019. The WhatUni Student Choice Awards also places the University in the top 10 in five categories this year – accommodation, job prospects, facilities, student support and international, as well as a shortlisting for University of the Year.
Lynda, added: “As we are about to welcome our new students and welcome back those continuing their studies, being acknowledged by this nomination shows that we put our students first. I look forward to the next cohort of students starting this month and taking advantage of all the opportunities that Edge Hill has to offer.”
The directory, which announces a different university each week, previously nominated the University of Warwick and University of Surrey.
