The University has won first place in the National Student Housing Survey awards for the most affordable accommodation in 2018/19.
Edge Hill takes the crown for Best Value for Money for the third consecutive year.
Head of Accommodation Services Kate McAdam, said: “It’s an absolute delight to not only have been nominated once more for an award as a direct result of student feedback, but to win it; being recognised as the national lead for the best value for money.
“With average rent prices going up across the student accommodation sector, students are now having to pay a larger proportion of their student finance on their rent than ever before, which is why at Edge Hill, we recognise the financial challenges that our students face and ensure that our campus accommodation is affordable and provides excellent value for money.”
All first year undergraduate students from the UK and EU who make Edge Hill their first choice are guaranteed a place in the University’s halls of residence for year one of their course if they apply before the deadline of 31 July.
Kate added: “We offer a range of options and facilities to suit student needs including our new build ensuite accommodation in modern flats and townhouse.
“All accommodation, regardless of the price, is provided to a consistently high standard and we’re continuing to make the most of the accommodation we’re able to offer; making sure we maintain and improve the campus so students’ time with Edge Hill is the best possible experience.”
A refurbishment of half of the existing Main Halls has been ongoing over the summer, ready for thousands of new students to join life on campus this term. Limited en-suite accommodation has just been released for returning students. For more information and to apply, email the accommodation team.

The annual National Student Housing Awards are based exclusively on direct feedback from over 40,000 students across 200 universities and colleges. With no written nominations and no ‘expert’ judges, the National Student Housing Awards are uniquely credible and highly prized.
Data for the awards are collected through the National Student Housing Survey (UK) and the National Student Housing Survey (Ireland) which is managed by Red Brick Research, an independent market research and business intelligence agency with a specialist focus on youth marketing, student accommodation and higher education.
The next opportunity to take part in the NSHS is on the 1st of October 2019. Registration is now open.
