Edge Hill University’s stunning campus has been recognised as one of the world’s best green spaces for the seventh year in a row.
The University was presented with the prestigious Green Flag award, which recognises and rewards well managed parks and green spaces and sets the benchmark for the management of recreational outdoor spaces across the UK and around the world.
This international award, now into its third decade, is a sign to the public that the space boasts the highest possible environmental standards, beautifully maintained open spaces and excellent visitor facilities.
Neil Toner, Edge Hill’s Grounds Manager, said:
“We are absolutely delighted to receive a Green Flag Award for the seventh time.
“We know how much quality green spaces matter to residents and visitors. This award celebrates the dedication that goes into maintaining Edge Hill University to such a high standard. I’d like to thank everyone involved – from the team that maintains the grounds to all the members of staff who contribute by picking litter up as they go about their day.”
