Edge Hill University has secured a top 12 place in the Whatuni student survey rankings, which rates the experience students have both inside and outside the lecture theatre.
The league table, based on student questionnaires and feedback, lists the University as overall top in the North West and gives the University a top two spot for its accommodation.
Edge Hill also scores 4.27 out of five for overall satisfaction, and has scores four or better in job prospects, courses, student support, university facilities and accommodation categories.
Dr John Cater, Vice-Chancellor of Edge Hill University said:
“This is an excellent result and demonstrates that our students are some of the most satisfied in the UK. The scores collected from analysing the reviews written by students themselves highlights the quality of our courses, facilities and support we provide and underlines how our award winning accommodation is amongst the very best in the sector.”
This year, Whatuni has collected and verified 36,000 student reviews from current students which it uses to rank the 126 universities listed in its league table.
The news comes after Edge Hill University secured a top 20 place in the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey earlier this year.
