Figures released by the Complete University Guide this week show that once again, Edge Hill University is the safest in the North West.

TheCompleteUniversityGuide.co.uk has taken professional advice on the three crimes most relevant to students. Universities are then ranked on the cumulative rate of all three crimes occurring over 12 months in those areas where students live in term-time.

Dr Bernard Kingston, principal author of TheCompleteUniversityGuide.co.uk, said:

“Our data accurately reflect the levels of crime of greatest relevance to students in the streets where they live while studying at university. They provide information that is not available to students from their prospective choices of university and which, alongside other advice, assist them to make informed decisions about where to live and study.”

Dr John Cater, Vice-Chancellor at Edge Hill University said:

“Students at Edge Hill really value living on a safe and secure campus whilst having easy access to Liverpool, Manchester, Southport and the towns of the North West. We are delighted the Complete University Guide has recognised this for the sixth consecutive year.”
