Edge Hill University has been awarded a £500,000 medical leadership contract by Health Education England

Edge Hill University’s Postgraduate Medical Institute has been awarded a coveted £500,000 contract by Health Education England to supply medical leadership training for the whole of the North West region.

Led by Charlotte Moen, Trish Prescott and Dave Lynes, the team from the Faculty of Health and Social Care competed with other major Universities for the award. The model presented by Edge Hill in partnership with the Royal College of Physicians, was complimented on the curriculum vision, themes, and learning outcomes.  This award secures three years’ funding, totaling more than £500,000 in value.

Professor Clare Austin, Associate Dean for Research and Innovation said this latest success for the Postgraduate Medical Institute adds to a growing portfolio of teaching and research developments.

“This is a tremendous achievement for the Faculty of Health and Social Care and the Postgraduate Medical Institute, and is testimony to our growing expertise in the area of medical education and leadership.”
