Multi-award winning writer Jimmy McGovern, film director David Blair and television and film producer Colin McKeown have given advice to students and alumni seeking a career in the media.

Their advice was given as part of an event organised by Edge Hill University’s Institute for Creative Enterprise (ICE) featuring a Q&A session following a screening of their collaborative BBC feature film Common. You can see what they have to say here:

The BBC film was broadcast on the channel in July 2014 and starred Michelle Fairley, Nico Mirallegro and Michael Gambon. The screening was followed by a Q&A session chaired by Professors Mark McGovern and  Roger Shannon.  Jan Cunliffe, mother of real-life victim Jordan Cunliffe imprisoned under the 300-year-old common enterprise law also took part in the session.
