Alumni are invited to a special private view of an exhibition tracing the history of Edge Hill University as part of the 125th anniversary celebrations on Saturday 4th December 2010.

The exhibition has been timed to coincide with the publication of a new history book, A Vision of Learning: Edge Hill University 1885-2010, which charts the 125-year history of Edge Hill, one of the UK’s most distinctive universities.

Join us on campus from 12 noon for a tour of the exhibition with drinks and canapés. If you have not visited the University for a while current students will be available to give campus tours, showing the developments on campus and offering you the opportunity to revisit any of your old students haunts.

Mark Flinn, author of the forthcoming book and former Pro Vice-Chancellor, said: “This exhibition provides an insight into each era of Edge Hill’s history – from the early years in Liverpool through to the move to Ormskirk and the recent decades of expansion and diversification. As well as being the story of one institution realising its vision in challenging times, it is a tribute to the thousands of alumni, staff and students who make up the unique Edge Hill University community.”
