Edge Hill’s men’s football 4th team secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Warrington’s 2nd team. Despite taking a 2-0 lead in the first half, the team didn’t sustain their play and conceded a goal in the second. Warrington’s attempt to enter the game spurred the Edge Hill team on to secure victory with another two goals.

Gaz Nicolson was delighted with his hat-trick and Paul Dawson also scored. Jamie Harvey was named an exceptional player throughout the game. If opposition’s results go their way, another two victories will see the Edge Hill team winning the league.

Edge Hill football 5ths remain in a strong third place in their league after a scrappy 2-0 win at home to St Martin’s College 4ths. An early fluke goal from Phil Godson from inside the 6- yard line started a spate of chances for both sides to score, but all failed to convert. This close game was capped off with a fantastic 89th minute 30 yard strike from Liam Brophy, who scored his first goal for Edge Hill this season. This victory sends Edge Hill 5ths 15 points up, chasing the leaders Manchester Metropolitan 3rds on 18 points.

The men’s hockey friendly game against Salford resulted in surprise 9-1 victory for Edge Hill, despite the opposition’s place in the league above. The team put in an outstanding performance with goals from Robin Benford, Mike Phillips, Harry McGill and David Wright.
