Current teaching or clinical interests
I am passionate about improving end of life care for those in hospital and the community, and ensuring we support patients values, wishes and preferences for care. I enjoy teaching a wide variety of health care professionals to support them to provide excellent end of life care. I am a tutor on the PGCert Integrated and Palliative and End of Life Care – delivered by the Queesncourt Hospice / Edge Hill partnership.
Experience in ethical issues/ Ethical areas of interest
I have daily clinical experience facing end of life ethical situations with patient, families and colleagues. I have in interested in the ethics of end of life, in particular nutrition and hydration in the dying patient.
