I was a member of Edge Hill’s Undergraduate Dance Company. I’ve worked with international choreographers and music professionals, performed at festivals and events across the country, and appeared in a couple of music videos.

I see myself as a dance artist. My work brings together my lifelong passions for dance, art and community work.

You’re able to follow your own route on Edge Hill’s dance course. You can select modules that suit your interests and ambitions. And you can experiment with new ways of working.

There are so many opportunities to develop yourself as an artist at Edge Hill. You can really immerse yourself in the subject and soak it all up.

I was a member of Edge Hill’s Undergraduate Dance Company. I’ve worked with international choreographers and music professionals, performed at festivals and events across the country, and appeared in a couple of music videos.

I worked with Liverpool band Stealing Sheep. It was a female-only piece to celebrate 100 years of women’s right to vote in the UK. And I’ve worked with several other artists from across the North West.

My most memorable experience was performing in New York. So Love… was choreographed by renowned dance artist Mathieu Geffré- Gardiner. I learnt so much about the industry, and was able to make international contacts for the future.

I also performed at a contemporary dance festival in Lithuania. The piece was choreographed by fellow dance student Georgina Fowler. Neither of these would have been possible without support from Edge Hill’s Student Opportunity Fund.

During the pandemic I taught dance online. The teaching modules taught me how to design and deliver my own movement sessions, both in education and community settings. Other modules now enable me to work collaboratively with others, making performance pieces and pursuing my own choreographic ideas.

I feel so lucky to have studied in such a beautiful and creative environment. Working in the dance studio at the very top of the Performing Arts building will stay with me. Moving in the space while looking across the fields of Ormskirk is so inspiring, especially if the sun is rising or setting.
