“I applied to become a student guide after hearing friends talking very positively about the role. I enjoy working and believe the more work I can become involved in the better!
As I am quite confident I enjoy speaking in front of large or small groups, so being able to share my experiences and enjoyment of Edge Hill at open days really excited me.
Since starting as a student guide I have enjoyed a variety of roles and each opportunity has given me new skills and experience that I can take forward into my future work.
In particular this role has given me confidence that I have been able to use on my teaching placements, and has made me a better teacher as a result!
I believe anyone who is looking to find a student job where they will meet some brilliant people and have great working experiences should definitely apply to be a student guide. The role is flexible and the staff are excellent and always available via phone or email. I am proud to say I have worked for Edge Hill University.”
